Volunteer Opportunities
SportMedBC posts opportunities, both volunteer and employment, in a wide range of related fields. Professional and volunteer postings and notices are welcome. Complete our online Volunteer Opportunity submission form. There will be an administrative check prior to the posting going live, which will take approximately 1 to 2 business days.
For volunteer opportunities where teams are looking to have a "SportMed Trainer " or therapist to work with them throughout the season. The following will apply:
- Teams looking for 'SportMed Trainers' should contact SportMedBC's Sport Safety Coordinator in order to post their notice. Your association must pay a $50 fee for the year, covers all postings in that year, in order to request a posting.
- SportMedBC does not guarantee placement, however, will promote and maintain the online directory of therapists, 'SportMed Trainers' and students interested in gaining practical experience working with teams.
- Once the placement has been made, teams are expected to negotiate directly with the individual to determine team expectations, time commitment, honoraria, etc.
