The Keys to Success
The keys to cross-training success are variety and flexibility. You can swim indoors when the weather turns bad or take a family bike ride to celebrate spring. |

RunWalk Training Online
Want to train for The Vancouver Sun Run—but don't have access, or the time, to join one of the many Sun Run InTraining Clinics? Is your high school planning on taking part in the school division of the Sun Run? Do you have a group of co-workers you would like to coordinate a regular training schedule leading up to the April 20th Sun Run?
Starting January 19, 2008 join one of SportMedBC's resident Olympians Lynn Kanuka (Bronze medallist in 1984) and start training for The Vancouver Sun Run with SportMedBC's unique online support.
You will have access to SportMedBC's proven 13-week training schedules and will be povided with valuable coaching advice every step of the way. You can train anywhere and at anytime—all you need is a computer and a good pair of runners!
If you have a group of participants and are able to meet for one or more of the three weekly training sessions, you can organize them into training groups depending on which program they’d like to follow: Walk10K, LearnToRun10K, or Run10KFaster. We’d suggest you assign leaders for each group to help them stay together and motivated. Ideally these leaders are motivated co-workers within your company, or parents and teachers if you are organizing students within your school.
Your registration includes:
- Sun Run InTraining Logbook
- 13-week detailed training programs for all levels
- Coaching advice from Olympian Lynn Kanuka
- Weekly fitness advice on nutrition, injury prevention and more
The individual registration fee is $75.00 plus taxes. This DOES NOT include your individual, school or corporate team event entry. Sun Run entries must be coordinated through the Sun Run office.
For more information call SportMedBC at (604) 730-7255.
Registration begins December 1, 2007. Sign up here!
